The Most Instagrammable Hotel!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

And what a better way to celebrate and indulge in festivities other than staying in a swanky hotel in Manchester?!

I have often wandered past Hotel Gotham, having a peek in at the 1920’s style of the staff on the doors. I always wondered what it was like in there, after hearing amazing things about the hotel, myself and Lawrence took the plunge to stay for the night and It was the best hotel we have EVER stayed in.

The hotel décor is very Batman meets The Great Gatsby. The staff set the atmosphere with their style and character – from the minute we entered the door and went up the lift to the reception desks, it felt like a movie set. We were offered a cocktail on entrance, which was so tasty and then showed up to our room.

During our night in Gotham, we ate across the road at Rosso. Myself and Lawrence came here when we first starting dating (I hate that word) and we sat in the exact same seat as we did six years ago! We also went to see Billy Elliot at the Palace Theatre and had a walk around the beautiful German Christmas Markets. Christmas is my favourite time of the year and this was the best way to feel oh so festive.

When we returned back to the hotel that night, we were confused at the sound of music in our room, thinking I had left the tele on. We then found that the staff had come in and put Classical FM on, dimmed the lights and put a jar of pig shaped biscuits on the bedside table. This gesture was just the cherry on the top of an amazing stay, small things really make the difference and this just made us so happy to come home too. And then Love Actually was on the tele that night too! Perfect Christmassy night!

I could literally live in this hotel; it was perfect. From the books on the bedside table to the cushions, staying here is a really special experience, and I am so thrilled I was able to stay here! I would totally recommend staying here. We had thought about staying here for a while, and even though it is rather on the pricey side, it was a special, one off experience but it was truly worth it!
